New Adventure Rank Leaderboard
The hotfix#66 Dark and Darker has officially started the new Adventure Rank Leaderboard. According to the devs, the new season will focus on high-value targets such as bosses, sub-bosses, and special chests and reaching deeper levels.
Another big change is that the arena’s leaver logic is also fixed. This means only the players who preemptively leave the arena match will receive a penalty.
Druid Form Issues
A common issue faced by many players was the drop in frames when changing form as a Druid. According to the developers, this issue is now fixed in the latest Dark and Darker hotfix.
Visual and Animation Issues
The earlier versions of the Dark and Darker game had a bug that didn’t render the material inside the Ale properly.
Another problem was related to the animation of “Door Opening” when the players stepped on the Ruins’ platform. Both of these visual and animation issues are addressed in hotfix #66 Dark and Darker.

Monster AI and Behavior Fixes
A common problem faced by many Dark and Darker players was the instant attack during spawning. Whenever the players spawned in the Golbin Caves, they would be recognized & attacked by monsters right away.
This led to frustration and increased difficulty for the players as they couldn’t even react in time. According to devs, this issue is now fixed and players will not be attacked right away.
Another fix is related to the escape ropes present in the Gobin Caves. Some players reported that the escape ropes came down before the designated time. That is also fixed which means ample time for the players to use the escape ropes.
Session Ending Issues in Ice Cavern
Fans of the Dark and Darker were facing a frozen screen when they entered the waiting room via the Down Aurora (Ice Cavern). This particular issue usually happened when there were only 10 seconds before the session’s end.
The hotfix#66 Dark and Darker has now fixed this issue of screen freezing before the session ending.
Item Value Adjustments
- The adventurer points are changed for the Chocolate Chip Muffin (From 2 to 300).
- The adventurer points are changed for the Honeybliss Pear (From 2 to 200).
- Items such as Wardweed, Lifeleaf, Infected Flesh, and Phantom Flower can only be sold to collectors.
- The Dark and Darker hotfix 66 has also added a new item called “Spectral Coin Bag.”
